My First One, Part Deux

Do you remember this skirt? It was my very first post and as we slowly approach the 6 month mark, I thought I would reiterate it...
I just paired it with one of my bf's shirt. I don't know if you've noticed but I like to 'borrow' his clothes... it is so bad that when I lived in New York and he was still in London, I asked him to mail me one of his old pair of jeans because I desperately wanted loose cut-off shorts!
I hope you appreciate my ridiculousness!

Sweet Memories of the Holiday....

The past week was just pure bliss, I went to the South of France with the whole family. Except for tanning, eating and catching up on all my Harlan Coben/Michael Connelly 'literature', I did very little...
I made this kimono a few weeks ago but I thought it would look perfect in the holiday setting! On top of that, I wanted to take advantage of my sister's camera and it's fancy objective to take better quality pictures that what we're usually used to on this blog... (my next investment will be a camera with a fancy objective too)
This kimono was originally a maxi dress found by said sister in Retro Paradise in Brussels, I was just obsessed with the leopard - too awesome!
Coming back to rainy London was a bit of a shock this morning but at least I still have a couple more sets of pictures from the holiday, did you have a nice summer?

With the shape and colour, it was just too tempting not to end up in the pool!

It all fits in my pocket

So I have been working on a few accessories lately...
When my boyfriend and I moved in together we were looking for furniture that we could 'up-cycle'. As I was visiting a charity furniture shop, I found this really awesome brown suede. I used some of it to create this pocket. The zipper is also 'vintage', it was part of my grandmother's sewing kit that I inherited (I also inherited the most amazing old school pedal operated sewing machine, I will show you when I finally move it to London).
Here are a few of my 'bag essentials': my Shanghai Tang wallet which was a gift from my sisters, my beloved Blackberry, the Marc by Marc Jacob keyring that I think everybody has, Vaseline lip balm for the day and Anna Sui lipstick for the night, a mirror that my best friend's mum gave me, it says 'Kate Moche, Moi Belle', for those of you who don't speak French, it is a play on word on Kate Moss which means 'Kate Ugly, Me Pretty'... When you need a pick me up...
I am finally going on holiday with my whole family next week and I have been working on When Charlotte met Maia Homeware for my sister, which explains the lack of posting... but I will make up for it when I am away as I plan to take full advantage of the holiday scenery (and the tan) to take new pictures...
Have a good week X

My New Bracelet

As a good girlfriend that I am, I offered to shortened my boyfriend's suit trousers. Too kind I know...
The cutoff hem just happened to perfectly go round my wrist twice, I just added some studs and voila, a new bracelet! Saturday night DIY project...
I hope you also like my new nail polish, it is from Nails Inc and it is called Chester Terrace and it has this really cool mat finish that I love!
